Our Vision for Youth Ministry
At our church, we believe in doing things differently when it comes to youth ministry—and for good reason. We are building a church where the young are not sidelined or separated but are active, vital members of the church today.
If you or your teens are looking for a place to will grow in faith, serve with purpose, and find real connections with others across generations, we want to invite you to come and see what makes our approach so impactful.
A Different Kind of Youth Ministry
For decades, many youth ministries have focused on creating fun, entertaining programs. While that approach may keep teens busy for a season, it often leaves them unprepared for what’s next. When they “age out” of youth group, they may feel lost, disconnected, or unsure of how they fit into the larger church. Many people feel like they “graduated” from youth group, but no one should ever feel they graduate from the church.
We believe young people are not just the church of tomorrow—they are an essential part of the church today.
For decades, the prevailing model of youth ministry has largely focused on separating them from the rest of the church for “age related” activities. While often well-intentioned, this approach has produced troubling results. Many have gone to church, attending isolated programs, only to feel lost or disconnected when they as they “grow-up.” The outcomes are clear.
We’re here to change that. Instead of creating a separate space just for youth, we intentionally integrate them into every part of church life. Why? Because discipleship is not a program you graduate from—it’s a lifelong journey of walking with others, growing in faith, and serving God.
Why This Matters for Families
We believe youth thrive when they are part of something bigger than themselves. By worshiping, serving, and growing alongside adults, our young see what authentic faith looks like in action. They’re not waiting to be part of the church—they are the church.
Here’s how this looks in our community:
1. Youth in Worship: On Sundays, our youth join the adults in worship. There’s nothing more powerful for a young person than to see their parents and mentors passionately worshiping God. While younger children have age-specific teaching, teens hear the same inspiring, relevant messages as the adults—messages that challenge and encourage everyone, regardless of age.
2. Serving Together: Young people are invited to serve in many areas of ministry, including worship, media, hospitality, and more. When they’re given opportunities to contribute meaningfully, they rise to the challenge. They’re not just spectators—they’re leaders in the making.
3. Building Real Relationships: Instead of shallow connections, youth in our church build lasting, Spirit-filled relationships with people of all ages. These connections provide mentorship, encouragement, and accountability—helping them grow stronger in their Spiritual foundation and character.
4. Opportunities to Thrive: From regional conferences to local outreach and mission trips, we provide opportunities for teens to deepen their faith and discover their God-given purpose.
Why This Generation Needs Something More
We live in a time when young people are searching for meaning and connection. Depression, anxiety, and loneliness are at all-time highs, even though the world offers endless entertainment and ways to “connect.”
What’s missing? Genuine relationships and a faith that is alive, real, and relevant.
We believe this generation needs more than entertainment—they need hope, purpose, and a strong foundation in Christ. Our youth ministry is designed to give them just that.
By being part of the whole church, youth grow in ways that prepare them for a lifetime of following Jesus.
A Vision for Families
We know raising kids in today’s world isn’t easy. Parents feel the pressure from every direction—school, culture, social media—and it’s hard to know what’s best. At our church, we’re here to partner with you, not replace you.
Our vision is for families to grow together in Commitment to Christ. We believe youth need to see their parents worship, pray, and serve. They need to be surrounded by a church family that encourages them to pursue what is good, even when it’s counter-cultural.
We also believe in making church an exciting and meaningful experience for everyone. While we don’t prioritize entertainment over faith, we love having fun together, whether it’s through fellowship events, youth conferences, or shared ministry projects.
Raising Arrows for the Kingdom
Psalm 127:4 says, “Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” Our goal is to help parents sharpen and prepare those arrows, so they can be launched into the world with purpose, spiritual formation, and confidence in God’s calling.
At our church, youth are equipped to:
– Live out their faith boldly in their schools, friendships, and future careers.
– Serve with passion, whether locally or through life-changing mission trips.
– Build relationships that encourage them to stand firm in a world that often pulls them in the wrong direction.
A Church for Every Generation
We are building a church where youth are seen, celebrated, and discipled—not separated. This is a church where generations worship together, serve together, and grow together in faith.
We know this is a counter-cultural approach, but we believe it’s what families and youth need now more than ever. If you’re looking for a church where your kids will be entertained, we may not be the place for you. But if you’re looking for a church where your family will grow together, where your children will be equipped to live out their faith boldly, where your youth will be empowered to lead and serve, where God’s Word is central, and where Jesus is at the center of it all, we would love to welcome you.
At our church, you’re not just part of a program—you’re part of a family. Together, we’re raising a generation with a vision that will impact eternity.
